💛 Current Bridal Trend: Ballgowns 💛

Tuesday, 18 July 2023 by whiteivy

Believe it or not, after more than 2 years of plain, simple, sleek dresses, our brides in the first quarter of 2023 have a new favourite: ballgown style wedding dresses! And we LOVE it 😍
Yes, the big drama dresses are back and that’s so well deserved! No matter how simple the design, this dress shape is always a showstopper and the „Oooooohs“ and „Awwwws“ are guaranteed as soon as you start walking in 🥰 It’s your once in a lifetime chance to wear such a wow dress, so go for it!!!

Wedding dress fact: the funny thing about that type of dress is, it’s much lighter than you think!
Every bride loves looking at them but then they hold back from it cause they think they can’t manage it on the day. The truth is, if a ballgown is well tailored by the designer and made of high quality fabrics, it’s actually one of the lighter dresses you can get!

So the key to success with a ballgown is to pay attention to the fabric. The rest is easy breezy then, especially once it’s properly fitted during your alterations 😊

What you’ll get is a super comfy dress that allows for a big dinner and lot’s of drinks without worrying about your belly showing (it’ll actually give you the tiniest waist of your life 😁) and it’s just so much fun to wear 💃😊
Best thing? Many of them have pockets 🥳

And if you still think it might be too much for the whole day: it gives you the perfect reason for a 2nd dress which is definitely another trend at the moment 😁😉

xx The White Ivy 🤍

💜 Important Delivery Time Update 💜

Monday, 09 January 2023 by whiteivy

Hard to believe it’s already the 1st of November! And as the end of the year is
coming closer, we thought it might be helpful to give you a quick update on how
long it takes to have your dress ready for your big day, especially as we got
the feeling in the last couple of weeks that many brides are not aware
of the current delivery times.

💜 The delivery time for a wedding dress at the moment can be anything
between 4 to 7 months, at least with our designers.
The delivery time for almost all of our recent orders is 5 to 6 months
and we always have to allow for approx. 2 weeks for slight delays
that can accure from time to time.

So if you want to be on the safe side and want to have the full range of dresses
to choose from, allow for 6 months from the day you say Yes to the Dress 🥰

💜 In addition, you will need 2 to 3 months for your alterations before the wedding.
Just like with the designers, that depends on the dressmaker you choose.

Just from our experience this year, the dressmakers and seamstresses are very busy
and might need a bit more time than the usual 8 weeks.
So do yourself and these amazing ladies a favour and allow for enough time here
as well ☺️ The last thing you (and they 😅) want is massive pressure in the busy
and exciting weeks just before the wedding

💜 So if you want to make the most of your dress shopping,
please do not start later than 10 months before your wedding.
You might want to visit several shops and it will take time to make your decision,
so keep it relaxed and start early enough.

If you’re a 2023 bride with a wedding date before September,
we’d recommend to book in with your favourite shops soon as especially
weekend appointments can have a waiting time as well.

We hope this information helps you a bit and we might see you soon ☺️💜

💛 Rosa Clará 2023 collections 💛

Tuesday, 04 October 2022 by whiteivy

You should have seen the excitement in the shop
yesterday when the first big box from Barcelona
arrived! The first dresses of Rosa Clará ‘s fabulous
2023 collections are here 🤩🥳 Since we ordered
these beauties back in April, we were so much looking
forward to having them in the shop for you and now
the day is here 😁

And when we order new stock dresses, it’s the same
for us like for you brides: you order the dress you love
(or dresses in our case☺️), then kind of forget what it
actually looks like in the months til it arrives (and
probably get a bit nervous about your choice 😅🙈),
and when it’s here you fall completely in love with it all
over again 😄

And we are SO in love again now with these dresses
and can’t wait to try them with you 🥰 Many many
more stunning designs will arrive over the next few
weeks. So to all you Rosa Clará lovers: make sure to
book your appointment for fall to find your Rosa Clará
dress 💛

Current Delivery Times

Wednesday, 24 November 2021 by White Ivy
Are you a 2022 bride and looking for your dress? Then please take the time to read this post carefully or flip through the pics above as there is very important information on the current delivery times:
What we are experiencing with deliveries and orders every day, has now found it’s way to the major media channels when the BBC recently reported on their news about delays on wedding dresses, fabrics, accessories etc. Several news have been reporting about the supply chain and HGV/cargo crisis as well and there are still lockdowns in badly affected areas worldwide which lead to factory closures 😔
Delivery times are now up to 2 months longer than usual, which means it can take up to 7 months for a dress to come in!
In addition, you have to allow for 2 to 3 months for your alterations, especially if special fabric is needed to make changes on a dress.
Before you find “The One” and actually order your dress, you might of course want to have a good look around and visit all your favourite bridal shops. So please allow another 4 to 6 weeks for your dress shopping!
That’s why we recommend to start dress shopping at least 10 to 12 months before your wedding and as you can see, that could be a problem for your 2022 wedding.
Of course we are always happy to sell dresses off the rail or try to arrange a rush delivery for you, but that might not always be possible and we don’t want for you to go for a 2nd choice dress!🙏
We guarantee, this is certainly not to put any false pressure on you by publishing this. But it is something we have to talk about as we already had several brides in the last few weeks who were under massive time pressure because they were not aware of the current situation. These longer delivery times are confirmed by our designers and suppliers and even we are still waiting for some of our stock dresses that should have been delivered weeks ago.
The last thing we want for you (and for us 😅) is to be stressed and have sleepless nights because a dress is not coming in only weeks before the wedding 🙈 So please be aware of this current timeline and get your appointments booked in with your bridal shops so that we all can enjoy and celebrate this experiencing the way it should be done, without pressure, stress and disappointment!
And if you find The One… Say Yes To The Dress 🥰🧡
